Last updated on November 1st, 2022 at 11:20 am

If you are looking for GoDaddy email settings in India, then read on. As a leading web hosting and domain name registrar company, we know how important it is to keep your information safe and secure.

This is why we offer SSL certificates, free virus scanning services, and website backup solutions that protect your data from harm.

Godaddy Server and port settings for Workspace Email

If your account is showing POP3 as Incoming Server, it means your Godaddy Email account doesn’t support IMAP.

What is IMAP in Email?

IMAP stands for Internet message access protocol. It is a standard email protocol that allows the user to use an e-mail client (like Microsoft Outlook or Apple Mail) on any computer to retrieve mail from their account without being connected directly to your ISP’s servers.

IMAP also provides support for creating, deleting, and managing folders locally on the client, while the messages themselves are stored on your email server.

How does IMAP Work?

When you send an e-mail using our webmail interface or one of our desktop applications, it is saved in a mailbox folder on GoDaddy’s servers.

This means that when you access your account via different devices (like checking email on your phone or tablet), all of the messages are available to you.

How do I enable IMAP on my Godaddy account?

To activate IMAP access, first, log in to your email client and select Settings.

Next, open the accounts tab and create a new mail account (using server pop.secureserver.net ).

Once finished, click on the More Settings button.

First, select IMAP from the list of options in the left sidebar and then check Enable under ‘IMAP Access’.

Last, enter your full GoDaddy email address (username@yourdomainname) for both incoming mail server and outgoing mail server.

For example Username: [email protected] Incoming Mail Server: pop.secureserver.net Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.secureserver.net

Here are Godaddy Server and port settings for Workspace Email

IMAP server and ports

  • Incoming server (IMAP): imap.secureserver.net
  • SSL Port: 993

POP3 server and ports

  • Incoming server (POP3): pop.secureserver.net
  • SSL Port: 995

Outgoing server and ports

  • Outgoing server (SMTP): smtpout.secureserver.net
  • SSL Port: 465 or 587

Use IMAP settings to add your Workspace Email to a client

Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) lets you access email stored on a server from multiple devices. If you have an IMAP-enabled email, you can set it up on any client and device.

These are generic instructions to help you add your email address to a desktop email client.

  1. Sign in to the Email Setup Center with your Workspace Email address and password.
  2. Under Email Server Settings, you’ll see the Incoming server (IMAP) and the Outgoing server (SMTP) settings.
POP and SMTP settings in Email Server Settings
  3. Open your chosen email client and create a new account.
  4. When you get to the IMAP settings, enter your Incoming port and Outgoing port:
Server hostnameSSL Port
Incoming (IMAP)imap.secureserver.net993
Outgoing (SMTP)smtpout.secureserver.net465 587 (TSL/SSL – Mac)
  1. Enter your username (email address) and password (email password).
  2. You might be asked for more info or email client preferences and to save your settings.

What are the benefits of IMAP?

The main benefit is that it ensures you never miss an important email again! If someone sends you a message, it will be marked as unread on your phone or tablet.

This means that any time you log in to your account, all of the messages will be displayed as unread until you mark them as read on one device or another.

Is it free?

Yes! You can use IMAP access with no additional costs (just like regular POP). However, if you are using a third-party client (like Apple Mail), you may need to purchase a license for it.

Conclusion: With IMAP, you can read and respond to messages from any device without having to connect directly with your ISP’s servers. This means that all of the emails will be saved in one place and never lost again!

What is POP?

POP stands for Post Office Protocol. It is a standard email protocol that allows the user to collect (download) mail from their account and store it on their computer or server.

Once downloaded, POP usually deletes all of the messages from Godaddy’s servers automatically so you won’t need to worry about missing anything after reading it!

How does POP Work?

POP is slightly different than IMAP because it stores messages locally on your computer, rather than downloading them to a mailbox folder.

Once you’ve read the message, it will be marked as unread (just like IMAP). But, if you delete it without reading it first, then there’s no way for our system to know that you’ve seen it.

How do I enable POP on my Godaddy account?

To activate pop access, first, log in to your email client and select Settings. Next, open the accounts tab and create a new mail account (using server pop.secureserver.net ).

Once finished, click on the More Settings button. First, select POP from the list of options in the left sidebar and then check Enable under ‘POP Access’.

Last, enter your full GoDaddy email address (username@yourdomainname) for both incoming mail server and outgoing mail server.

For example Username : [email protected] Incoming Mail Server: pop.secureserver.net Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.secureserver.net

What are some benefits of POP?

The main benefit is that it ensures you never miss an important message again!

If someone sends you a message while offline, simply login to your account when you get internet access next and all emails will be downloaded automatically into your inbox folder – even if they were sent before you logged in.

Is it free?

Yes! You can use POP access with no additional costs (just like regular IMAP).

However, if you are using a third-party client (like Apple Mail), you may need to purchase a license for it.

Conclusion: With POP, messages will automatically download into your inbox folder when you log in so they’re never lost again!
